Key points

  1. Mankind Pharma, KFin Technologies and Sona BLW are among 16 companies due to report on Monday.
  2. Tata Steel has postponed its September-quarter results to Saturday, 7 November.
  3. The US Federal Reserve announces its decision at 11:30 pm IST on Wednesday.

The September-quarter results season moves into its busiest week with a modest Monday. Sixteen companies are scheduled to report on 26 October, led by the drugmaker Mankind Pharma, the registrar KFin Technologies and the auto parts maker Sona BLW Precision Forgings, before the big names arrive on Tuesday.

Also on Monday’s list are the housing lender Aavas Financiers, Five-Star Business Finance, Tamilnad Mercantile Bank, Dhanlaxmi Bank, Sumitomo Chemical India, Venus Remedies and the defence electronics maker Avantel. Results dates are those the companies have notified, and the numbers usually land after the close.

Mankind Pharma has brought its earnings call forward by an hour, to 5 pm, citing “unavoidable circumstances” in a filing on Thursday.

A late change from Tata Steel

One large name has dropped out of the week. Tata Steel told the exchanges on Saturday that its board meeting to approve the quarter’s results, set for Tuesday, 27 October, has been postponed to Saturday, 7 November, because of “unavoidable circumstances.” Its trading window for insiders, shut since 24 September, stays closed until 48 hours after the results are out.

That leaves Tuesday to Larsen & Toubro, Maruti Suzuki, Bajaj Auto, Cipla, ACC, Tata Capital, Indus Towers, Syngene International, Indoco Remedies, Transport Corporation of India and AWL Agri Business. L&T’s order book is the number most investors will look for as a read on capital spending. Hindustan Unilever, Adani Ports and Hero MotoCorp follow on Wednesday, and Asian Paints and Trent on Thursday.
