A rally on 1 November

The Congress and its INDIA bloc partners are preparing for a rally at Ramlila Maidan on 1 November. The Chamber of Trade and Industry has asked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to put it off until after 10 November, citing the effect on business during the festive season.

The meeting also falls in the run-up to Chhath. Earlier on Saturday, Gupta reviewed the festival arrangements along the Munak Canal.
