Apple's first foldable, the iPhone Duo, goes on sale in India on Friday from ₹2.99 lakh
The top 2TB model of Apple's book-style foldable costs ₹4.49 lakh, putting it at the very top of India's premium phone market.

Key points
- Indian sales of the iPhone Duo begin on Friday, 23 October.
- Prices run from ₹2,99,900 for 256GB to ₹4,49,900 for 2TB.
- It has a 7.6-inch inner screen and a 5.4-inch outer screen, but no dedicated telephoto camera.
Apple’s first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, goes on sale in India on Friday, and buyers will need at least ₹2,99,900 to take one home.
That price buys the 256GB model. The 512GB version costs ₹3,24,900, the 1TB version ₹3,74,900 and the top 2TB model ₹4,49,900.
What the phone offers
The Duo opens like a book. Closed, it has a 5.4-inch outer screen; open, it reveals a 7.6-inch inner display with a nano-texture finish meant to cut glare. Apple calls it “the largest display ever offered on an iPhone” and says it is also the thinnest iPhone it has made.
Inside is Apple’s A20 Pro chip with a vapour-cooling system, running iOS 27. The camera is a 48MP dual system. There is no dedicated telephoto lens, a gap that may matter to buyers weighing it against Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold8.
Why it matters in India
The Duo’s price puts it at the very top of the premium phone segment. How quickly the first stock sells on Friday will be an early test of whether Indian buyers will pay a large premium for Apple’s take on the format.
