Schutt and Perry lead Australia to 3-0 sweep of Bangladesh in Brisbane
Megan Schutt took 4 for 16 with five maidens, and Ellyse Perry and Annabel Sutherland shared a 137-run stand as Australia won the final ODI by eight wickets.

Key points
- Australia chased 173 to win by eight wickets at Allan Border Field.
- Megan Schutt's 4 for 16 included five maiden overs.
- Australia are the only unbeaten side in the ICC Women's Championship, with six wins from six.
Australia completed a 3-0 sweep of Bangladesh at Allan Border Field in Brisbane on Wednesday, winning the third ODI by eight wickets after Megan Schutt had once again done the early damage.
Schutt finished with 4 for 16 from her spell, five of her overs maidens, as Bangladesh were held to 172. Ashleigh Gardner and Annabel Sutherland took two wickets each. Bangladesh did have two half-centuries to show for their innings, from Sharmin Akhter (50) and Shorna Akter (54), but no one could go on.
The chase began with a wobble. Sultana Khatun and Disha Biswas removed both Australian openers, but Ellyse Perry and Sutherland then put on 137 together, each passing fifty, to take Australia home with plenty to spare.
Unbeaten in the Championship
It was Bangladesh’s first tour of Australia, and it ended without a win. Their only victory in the current ICC Women’s Championship cycle remains their opening win over Sri Lanka, and they have now lost five in a row.
Australia are the only team yet to lose a match in the 2025-29 cycle. With six wins from six they have 12 points, one behind New Zealand, who have played nine matches. Sri Lanka and West Indies are also on 12, and Pakistan have 10.
India, bottom of the table only because they are yet to play, have not started their Championship campaign.
