Pratika Rawal's hundred puts India women a win from the Zimbabwe ODI series
India chased 198 in 27.1 overs in the opener at Kotambi. The second ODI is at the same ground on Sunday.

Key points
- Pratika Rawal made an unbeaten 100 off 96 balls as India won the first ODI by nine wickets.
- Shree Charani's four for 23 helped bowl Zimbabwe out for 197.
- The second ODI is on Sunday, 25 October at the BCA Stadium in Kotambi.
India women go into Sunday’s second one-day international against Zimbabwe at the BCA Stadium in Kotambi, near Vadodara, needing one more win to take the series, after a nine-wicket thrashing in the opener on Friday.
Pratika Rawal set it up with an unbeaten 100 off 96 balls, hitting 15 boundaries as India reached 200 for one in only 27.1 overs, with 137 balls to spare. Shafali Verma finished alongside her on 64 not out off 33 balls, with five fours and four sixes, and the pair added an unbroken 106 for the second wicket. Smriti Mandhana made 32 off 34 before she was caught by Beloved Biza off Olinder Chare.
Spinners and seam in charge
Zimbabwe had chosen to bat and reached 197, but they were all out in 49.5 overs. Biza top-scored with 62 and Michelle Mavunga hit a brisk 29 off 23 balls. Spinner Shree Charani was India’s best bowler with four for 23 in her 10 overs, and fast bowler Kranti Gaud took three for 42. Deepti Sharma chipped in with two wickets.
The result followed the pattern of the T20 series earlier this month, which India swept 3-0 in Raipur. Zimbabwe have yet to come close to the hosts on this tour, and the bigger question for India on Sunday may be how much they choose to rotate their side.
The first match began at 2 pm IST. Sunday’s game is at the same venue.
