Benfica beat Celtic 4-1 in Lisbon on Thursday night, with Jhon Durán scoring twice, as the Europa League’s second round of league-phase matches produced 18 results and a crowded group of clubs on maximum points.

Durán opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the fifth minute, Alexander Bah added a second, and Durán’s second made it 3-0 before the break. Celtic pulled one back after the hour, but Vangelis Pavlidis restored the three-goal margin a minute from time. Celtic have now lost both their games.

Juventus left it late in Vigo. Hugo Álvarez gave Celta the lead in the 18th minute, Nick Woltemade equalised just before the hour, and Randal Kolo Muani won it in stoppage time.

AC Milan, beaten at home by Benfica on the opening night, recovered with a 4-0 win at Salzburg, and Bayer Leverkusen won 3-0 at Lech Poznań. Oh Hyeon-gyu scored twice in the second half as Beşiktaş won 3-2 at Hoffenheim.

Juventus, Benfica, Bournemouth, Beşiktaş, Ferencváros, Olympiacos, Leverkusen, Lyon, Sunderland and Omonia all have six points from two matches. Marseille, beaten 1-0 at home by Olympiacos, are among the clubs still without a point, along with Celtic, Celta and Hoffenheim.
